Blue Tigers Shut Out Upper Iowa for 2-0 Win

FAYETTE, Iowa - The Lincoln women's soccer team scored a pair of second-half goals to beat Upper Iowa, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 19).

Cierra Bradley broke a scoreless tie in the 48th minute by taking a pass from Ivanna Faria and sending the ball into the net. Faria later notched a goal of her own, as passes from Kennedy Coles and Jia-Li Diaz led to her kicking the ball past the keeper for a 2-0 LU advantage.

Michelle Granja made nine saves and picked up the shutout victory in the goal. Faria led LU with four shots on goal while Bradley was next with three.

Angela Reynolds also totaled four shot attempts, including one on the goal, and Madison Wimberly had LU's other shot on the net. Carolina Dos Santos, Shareina Langevine and Diaz tallied one shot attempt apiece.
