ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Lincoln men's soccer team, ranked No. 20 in the United Soccer Coaches Division II poll, played Lewis to a 1-1 tie on Friday evening (Oct. 17).
The Blue Tigers, who remain the only GLVC program without a loss in 2025, are now 7-0-4 overall and 5-0-4 in conference play. The Flyers, meanwhile, are now 3-4-6 on the season and 2-4-3 against GLVC opponents.
Neither team scored in the opening half, but the Blue Tigers broke through in the 56th minute when
Santiago Brisco found the back of the net. Lincoln nearly ended the game with a shutout, but Lewis was awarded a penalty kick in the final minute of the match and managed to capitalize for the 1-1 draw.
Vincent Osei had four saves for LU while
Ateibo Green and
Nkouka Loubassou each had shot attempts.
The Blue Tigers travel to Fayette, Iowa on Sunday (Oct. 19) to face Upper Iowa at 2:30 p.m. CDT.
