KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Three members of the Lincoln women's basketball team scored in double figures, but the Blue Tigers fell to Truman State, 78-59, on Monday evening (Jan. 20).
Hanne Nybo finished two boards shy of a double-double, tallying 16 points, eight rebounds and a block, while 
Imani Harris came off the bench to provide 14 points, three boards and an assist. 
Emma Wolken, meanwhile, added 13 points and a rebound.
Harris drained a three to give LU a 12-10 lead late in the first quarter, the Bulldogs answered with a quick three, and Nybo put the Blue Tigers back on top with jumper in the paint. Truman State (7-12, 4-5 GLVC) scored five-straight points to take an 18-14 lead at the end of the period. The Bulldogs later led by as many as 11 in the second quarter, but a jumper by 
Kaleah Toran and Nybo sank a trey to help Lincoln (1-14, 0-9 GLVC) cut the deficit down to eight entering the break.
LU opened the third quarter with Harris hitting a layup to make the score 35-29, and, after a pair of free throws from Truman State, Wolken cut the TSU lead back down to six. The Bulldogs scored the next five points, but a layup from Toran led to an 8-2 run by Lincoln to pull back within 44-39. Truman State ended the third period on a 13-4 run to take control of the game, however, despite 16 fourth quarter points by the Blue Tigers.
Truman State shot .441 overall while Lincoln shot .415, and the Blue Tigers fired at a .412 rate from three-point range while holding the Bulldogs to .391 from beyond the arc. TSU finished with a 43-26 advantage in rebounding, though, and received 30 points from its bench to pull away down the stretch. LU forced 14 turnovers, resulting in 15 points for the Blue Tigers, and received 18 points from its own reserves.
Toran ended the day with eight points, two rebounds, a pair of steals and an assist. 
Isis Sanders pulled down five rebounds, chipped in four points and dished a team-high three assists. 
Kennedy Jones provided a rebound and a steal, and 
Kiara Cabrera and 
Lyssa Sportsman each finished with two points and two boards, with Cabrera also dishing an assist.
Lincoln remains on the road for its next two contests, beginning on Thursday (Jan. 23), when the Blue Tigers travel to Lebanon, Ill. to play McKendree at 5:30 p.m. CST.
