Ashlyn Alloway scored 20 points, but the Lincoln women's basketball team fell to Central Missouri, 77-44, on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 3).
Alloway also grabbed five rebounds, tallied four steals and blocked a shot while
Steph Torres added nine points and four assists.
AJ Bradley and
Imani Jones each notched four points and three rebounds with Bradley additionally dishing two assists.
Lincoln (6-14, 2-12 MIAA) shot .636 from the field and .600 from three-point range in the third quarter, scoring 20 points in the process, but Central Missouri (15-5, 9-5 MIAA) held the Blue Tigers to .327 shooting overall for the contest. The Blue Tigers forced 13 turnovers, with Jones registering a steal, but UCM finished with a 41-22 advantage in rebounding.
Kiara Cabrera came off the bench to score three points and
Hanne Nybo finished with six rebounds, two points, a block and an assist.
Miriam Bazylewicz made her season debut and scored two points while
Biance Stocks and
Tatiana Beaumont each grabbed a rebound.
The Blue Tigers remain on the road on Thursday (Feb. 8), traveling to Joplin, Mo. to play Missouri Southern at 5:30 p.m. CST.
