Miriam Bazylewicz led the Lincoln women's basketball team with 20 points and
Ashlyn Alloway scored 16, but the Blue Tigers dropped an 84-66 decision to Nebraska Kearney on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 17).
Bazylewicz also dished an assist while Alloway grabbed three rebounds and dropped two dimes. The pair helped the Blue Tigers shoot .471 from the field. Nebraska Kearney (18-7, 12-7 MIAA) scored 24 points in the first quarter on .833 shooting, but Lincoln (6-18, 2-16 MIAA) slowed the Lopers down afterwards, as UNK shot .482 for the contest.
Tatiana Beaumont made a pair of three-pointers to finish the game with six points and
Biance Stocks tallied nine points, a team-high five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
AJ Bradley led Lincoln with four assists and grabbed two rebounds while also registering a steal. Hanny Nybo, meanwhile, finished with four points, two boards, an assist and a team-best three steals.
Emma Wolken had two points, a block and an assist for LU and
Imani Jones finished with two points.
Alyssa McCarty also had two points to go with a rebound.
Steph Torres rounded out Lincoln with five points, three boards and a steal.
Lincoln travels to Topeka, Kan. on Thursday (Feb. 22) to play Washburn at 5:30 p.m. CST.
