JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - A strong shooting night helped Fort Hays State beat the Lincoln women's basketball team 75-47 on Thursday night (Feb. 15).
The Blue Tigers shot .538 from the floor in the fourth quarter but just .333 for the contest while FHSU shot .517 overall. Lincoln (6-17, 2-15 MIAA) held Fort Hays State (19-5, 13-5 MIAA) to just a .267 accuracy rating from beyond the arc but FHSU scored 46 points inside the paint.
Biance Stocks paced the Blue Tigers with 12 points and had four rebounds as well as three assists and a steal.
Ashlyn Alloway,
Steph Torres and
AJ Bradley each finished with four rebounds, with Alloway contributing 11 points and a steal. Torres and Bradley, meanwhile, each tallied four points, a steal and an assist.
Imani Jones had five points while
Hanne Nybo led LU with five rebounds. Nybo also scored four points and registered a steal.
Kiara Cabrera and
Tatiana Beaumont each finished with two points and a rebound while
Miriam Bazylewicz rounded out the scoring with three points.
Lincoln will play in Jason Gym again on Saturday (Feb. 17), hosting Nebraska Kearney at 1:00 p.m. CST.
