Hanne Nybo scored 17 points, but the Lincoln women's basketball team dropped an 86-46 decision to Lewis in the Blue Tigers' first-ever GLVC home game on Thursday night (Dec. 5).
Nybo also had two rebounds and a steal while
Ayreona Carter added seven points, a team-high four rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Kiara Cabrera dished an assist to go with three points and
Biance Stocks finished with five points, a rebound and an assist.
Lewis (6-1, 2-0 GLVC) shot .522 from the field and .476 from three-point range to lead from start to finish. Lincoln (1-5, 0-3 GLVC) opened the game hot, shooting .417 from the floor and .400 from long distance in the first quarter, and shot .714 from the line for the ballgame. The Flyers finished with a 45-22 advantage in rebounding, however, and recorded 12 steals on the evening.
Isis Sanders provided four points, three rebounds, an assist and a steal while
Emma Wolken came off the bench to score four points and pull down two rebounds.
Cassidy Gladney had two points and a rebound,
Para McIntosh recorded a steal and
Kaleah Toran made a free throw while also tallying two steals and an assist.
Chase Giddings chipped in two points and
Kennedy Jones contributed one point, an assist and three rebounds to the Blue Tiger cause.
Imani Harris dished an assist and
Lyssa Sportsman grabbed two rebounds.
Lincoln remains at home to host Upper Iowa on Saturday (Dec. 7) at 1:00 p.m. CST.
