Tyler Chapman scored 30 points as the Lincoln men's basketball team picked up its third-straight victory, beating Ohio Dominican, 74-49, at Lakeland College on Sunday (Dec. 22). The win also gives Lincoln a perfect 8-0 record in non-conference contests in 2024-25.
Chapman shot 6-for-9 from three-point range and 12-for-16 overall while collecting three rebounds and dishing an assist.
Franck Yetna and
Malcolm Davis each pulled down six rebounds and notched an assist, with Yetna scoring 10 points and Davis pouring in 14.
Lincoln (9-3) enjoyed one of its best shooting performances of the season, hitting at a .509 rate from the field and .448 from long distance. LU also made all of its free throw attempts, held a 38-28 advantage in rebounding and forced the Panthers into 12 turnovers. Ohio Dominican (3-8) shot just .345 for the ballgame and .231 from long distance, and was held to only 20 points over the final 20 minutes of the contest.
Mikey West dished a team-high six assists and chipped in nine points, blocked two shots, grabbed three rebounds and had a steal.
Max Ekono, meanwhile, led Lincoln with 13 rebounds and scored six points to go with a block and a steal.
Tyson Robinson added three points and a board while
Matthieu Biembongo closed the scoring with two points and a pair of rebounds.
Youssouf Timera tallied a steal and a rebound and
Reumang Emagna had a takeaway.
The Blue Tigers will be off until Friday, Jan. 3, when Lincoln travels to Quincy, Ill. to play Quincy at 7:30 p.m. CST.
