The Lady Hornets took a 19-12 lead into the second quarter, but a three-pointer by Emma Wolken followed by consecutive treys from Stocks and a jumper by Nybo cut the Blue Tiger deficit down to 26-24 with 5:22 until halftime. The Lady Hornets responded with another 9-0 run, but Carter sank four-straight free throws and Stocks hit a late jumper to pull LU back within five. A jumper in the final seconds sent the game into the break with ESU leading 37-30.
