JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln men's basketball team tips off the 2024-25 season at home this weekend with games on Friday and Sunday in Jason Gym. On Friday (Nov. 8), Lincoln officially begins the season by hosting Wayne State (MI) at 7:00 p.m. CST. The Blue Tigers continue the season on Sunday (Nov. 10) with a 1:00 p.m. CST contest against Kentucky Wesleyan.

The 2024-25 Blue Tigers, in their first season in the GLVC, will be led by five returners, including
Franck Yetna, who averaged 10.7 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting .542 from the field and .835 at the line in 2023-24.
Tyson Robinson, who played in all 30 games and averaged 3.5 points, and
Caleb Wright, who appeared in 17 contests, are the other main returning players from a Lincoln squad that went 15-15 and advanced to the second round of the MIAA Championship tournament.
Fred Cuello and
Isaiah Robinson are also back after spending last season as redshirt players. In addition to these returners, Lincoln has 10 newcomers on its roster, including nine transfer players, three of whom last played at NCAA Division I programs.
Wayne State returns five of its top-six scorers from a team that finished 14-15 last season. Carmelo Harris led the Warriors with 12.9 points per game while Rob Lee averaged 10.3 points. Ray Williams returns after averaging 9.4 points and a team-high 5.6 rebounds per contest in 2023-24. The other main returners are Tamario Adley (8.8 ppg., 4.6 rpg.) and Jordan Briggs (7.2 ppg.).
Kentucky Wesleyan, which posted a 21-9 record in 2023-24, lost its leading scorer, Borja Fernandez (16.7 ppg.) but returns each of its next top-five scorers. Kennedy Miles (12.8 ppg., 4.8 apg.), Edward Jones, Jr. (11.7 ppg., 5.0 rpg.) and Logan McIntire (10.3 ppg.) each averaged double-digit points while Alex Gray, who led KWU with 6.4 rebounds per contest, is back after tallying 7.9 points per game a year ago. The Panthers' other top returner is Kaeveon Mitchell, who averaged 8.1 points in 2023-24.
