BOLIVAR, Mo. - A big first quarter led Southwest Baptist to a 102-67 win over the Lincoln women's basketball team in the GLVC opener for both programs on Saturday (Nov. 30).

Ayreona Carter led the Blue Tigers with 17 points and three blocks while also tallying a pair of steals and four rebounds. Biance Stocks added 10 points, six rebounds and a team-high five assists while Kiara Cabrera was next on the scoring chart with seven points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Southwest Baptist (3-3, 1-0 GLVC) scored 30 points in the first quarter and shot .515 from the field to earn the victory. Lincoln (1-3, 0-1 GLVC) scored 43 points in the second half, shooting .583 in the third quarter and .467 in the fourth, and forced 15 turnovers while holding the Bearcats to .389 shooting from beyond the arc.

Hanne Nybo posted a team-high seven rebounds and chipped in four points to go with two steals and an assist. Isis Sanders provided four points and a pair of assists and Cassidy Gladney finished the day with six points, a rebound and a steal. Lyssa Sportsman also scored four points, pulled down two rebounds and dished an assist.

Kennedy Jones and Kaleah Toran each scored three points and each dished an assist. Chase Giddings made a free throw and Emma Wolken had an assist. Imani Harris rounded out the scoring with eight points and a rebound.

The Blue Tigers travel to Rolla, Mo. on Monday night (Dec. 2) to play Missouri S&T in a 5:30 p.m. CST contest.
