ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Hot shooting helped Missouri Western beat the Lincoln women's basketball team, 94-52, on Tuesday evening (Nov. 26).
Hanne Nybo and
Imani Harris each scored 13 points to lead the Blue Tigers, with Nybo additionally tallying four rebounds and a steal while Harris finished with two takeaways.
Isis Sanders added a team-high four assists to go with six points and two rebounds.
Missouri Western (4-3) shot .610 from the floor and .733 from the line to lead for most of the evening. Lincoln (1-2) was held to just three treys on the night and 19 field goals overall, but forced 17 turnovers and received 21 points from its bench.
Biance Stocks supplied five points and a pair of rebounds while
Kiara Cabrera ended the night with two points, three boards, an assist and a steal.
Ayreona Carter finished the game with five points, three boards and a steal.
Kennedy Jones led Lincoln in rebounding with seven and chipped in two points to go with a steal.
Lyssa Sportsman closed the scoring with two points, three rebounds and a steal, and
Emma Wolken pulled down two rebounds while
Kaleah Toran dished an assist.
Lincoln will be in Bolivar, Mo. on Saturday (Nov. 30) to open GLVC play against Southwest Baptist in a 1:00 p.m. CST contest.
