FULTON, Mo. - Three members of the Lincoln women's golf team finished among the top-five as the Blue Tigers opened their 2023-24 campaign by taking second at the William Woods Fall Invitational, hosted by William Woods University at Tanglewood Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 18-19). Lincoln posted a team score of 611 and finished just four shots behind the champion, Columbia College (607).

Divya Gunasegar placed third overall with a total of 151, as she shot a 75 in the opening round and a 76 in the second. Kaathi Gunasegar and Nyah Singh, meanwhile, tied for fourth place with scores of 152. Kaathi Gunasegar carded scores of 74 and 78 while Singh opened the tourney with a two-under 70 before firing an 82 on Tuesday.

Marsya Nazri rounded out the scoring for LU by finishing in the top-10 with a two-round total of 157. Nazri, who tied for eighth on the individual leaderboard, shaved five strokes off her first round score of 81 to fire a 76 on Tuesday. Elliott Hull also improved between rounds, carding an 86 on Monday and an 81 on Tuesday to end the tournament in 19th with a sum of 167.

Up next for Lincoln is the Central Region Preview, which will be hosted by Rogers State University in Bartlesville, Okla. at Hillcrest Country Club on Sept. 25-26.
