INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced on Thursday afternoon (March 26) that Lincoln senior Kaathi Gunasegar has been selected as the GLVC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week.

Kaathi Gunasegar tied with her teammate, Divya Gunasegar, for first place at the Central Methodist Invitational, played at Hail Ridge Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday (March 23-24). She shot scores of 75 and 72 to help the Blue Tigers win the team championship by an impressive 59 strokes. 

This is the second career athlete of the week award for Kaathi Gunasegar and the first since Lincoln joined the GLVC. She was previously named the MIAA Women's Golf Athlete of the Week on April 10, 2024. This is also the second GLVC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week award claimed by a Blue Tiger in 2025-26, as Divya Gunasegar received the honor on Oct. 30.

Next Sunday through Wednesday (March 29-April 1), Lincoln will be in Katy, Texas to play in the National Women's Collegiate Championship at The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch.
