Leslie Callahan was named to the All-MIAA second team, the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced on Tuesday (May 2).
Callahan, who was named all-league second team as a utility/non-pitcher, started 47 games at third base and second base for the Blue Tigers in 2023. Callahan led LU in nearly every offensive category, including posting a team-best .302 batting average. Callahan was also the team-leader in hits (39), doubles (10), runs scored (16) and triples (two), and she batted in 14 runs while posting a .457 slugging percentage.
She additionally led Lincoln's starters with 15 stolen bases and a .355 on-base percentage. Callahan, who was 11th in the MIAA in stolen bases and 14th in triples, played in all 48 of Lincoln's games in 2023 and recorded a fielding percentage of .954. She helped LU turn five double plays and finish third in the league in that category, and was responsible for 55 putouts and 69 assists.
