JOPLIN, Mo. - The Lincoln women's golf team is in a tie for seventh out of 11 teams after the first round of the MIAA Championship, played at Eagle Creek Golf Club on Monday (April 24).

Kaathi Gunasegar fired a 78 during the first day of the three-round tournament and is currently in ninth place overall. Saikati Gikonyo and Maria Villamil, meanwhile, are both tied for 29th after carding scores of 84 on Monday.

Nyah Singh shot a 90 and Marsya Nazri carded a 92 to round out Lincoln's performance.

The Blue Tigers will play the second round of the MIAA Championship on Tuesday (April 25).
