JOPLIN, Mo. - The Lincoln women's golf team is in 15th after the first two rounds of the Virginia Laas Invitational, hosted by Missouri Southern State University at Eagle Creek Golf Club on Monday (April 10).

Kaathi Gunasegar led the Blue Tigers with a two-round total of 167, as she opened the tourney with an 85 before firing an 82 in the second round. Gunasegar is tied for 41st overall heading into the third and final round, which will be played on Tuesday (April 11).

Nyah Singh had Lincoln's second-lowest total of 176, as she carded scores of 87 and 89 on Monday. Saikati Gikonyo is three strokes back of Singh with a 179 after improving from a first-round 94 by firing an 85 in round two. 

Marsya Nazri shot scores of 93 and 89 to finish the first day with a total of 182. Rounding out Lincoln's team performance was Maria Villamil, who posted scores of 93 and 96 for a two-round sum of 189.

Elliott Hull also played as an individual on Monday, shooting a 90 in each round for a score of 180.
