Stapleton Named First Team All-American


JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Artese Stapleton has been named to the D2 HBCU All-American first team, powered by BOXTOROW.

Stapleton, an All-MIAA first team player, averaged 17.3 points, reaching double figures in 25 of his 26 games. That average was the fourth-best in the MIAA this season, while his 160 total field goals were the seventh-most in the league. Stapleton also finished the year fourth in the league in minutes played (34.3), eighth in field goal percentage (.446) and eighth in assists per game (3.4). He additionally led LU with 36 steals and averaged 4.7 rebounds per game.
