Final Results
MUSKOGEE, Okla. - The Lincoln men's golf team played its best round yet on Tuesday (Sept. 20) as LU closed out play in the 24th Annual NSU Classic, hosted by Northeastern State University at Muskogee Country Club.
The Blue Tigers finished in 17th after posting a 302 in Tuesday's third and final round. Lincoln opened play in its first tournament of 2022-23 on Monday (Sept. 19) with respective first and second round scores of 310 and 314. Three Blue Tigers played their best round of golf of the opening tournament on Tuesday.
Remon Rabie led the way for LU with a three-round total of 227. Rabie opened with a 79, then fired a 73 during Monday's second round. On Tuesday, he closed the tourney with a 75, placing him in 67th overall.
Hunter Ramirez carded a 232 after putting together scores of 74, 78 and 80. Finishing just one stroke back of Ramirez was
Dedrick Harris II, who fired a 74 on Tuesday to finish with a total of 233. Harris also opened the tournament with a 74 before shooting an 85 in the middle round.
Darshan Gunasegar led LU with a 73 during the final round, and finished with a final score of 237. Gunasegar improved his score between each round, as he opened play with an 84 and shot an 80 in the second round before cutting seven strokes off that total on Tuesday.
Austin Shoemaker, meanwhile, rounded out Lincoln with a 248 after posting scores of 83, 83 and 82.
Lincoln will next play in the Ichabod Invitational, which will be hosted by Washburn University at Topeka Country Club in Topeka, Kan. on Oct. 3-4.
