JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln men's golf team will travel to Muskogee, Okla. to play in the 24th Annual NSU Classic, hosted by Northeastern State University at Muskogee Country Club on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 19-20).
Lincoln returns four golfers from the 2021-22 campaign, which ended with the Blue Tigers taking third place at the PGA WORKS Championship. LU was led in that event by
Remon Rabie, who tied for seventh overall after posting a three-round total of 228, highlighted by a 71 in the final round. Rabie also totaled an eight-over score of 224 at the Battle for the Belt, as he opened play with a 74 before shooting back-to-back rounds of 75.
Hunter Ramirez is back after taking 24th at the 2022 MIAA Championship, which he opened with a 73 and closed with a 76. Ramirez had three top-20 results last season, including finishing in 11th at the Gulf Shores Invitational and 15th at the PGA WORKS Championship. He additionally had an 18th-place result at the Watkins Invitational.
Darshan Gunasegar plays in five tourneys last spring, including The Mule, where he tallied a season-low 225.
Dedrick Harris II, who also turned in three top-20 results a year ago, is Lincoln's other returner in 2022-23. Harris rounded out the top-20 at the Hillcat Classic, and also tied for 15th at the PGA WORKS Championship while taking 13th at the Gulf Shores Invitational.
Joining the Blue Tigers in 2022-23 are four newcomers:
Caden Anderson, a local player and recent graduate of Cole R-V;
Logan Remhof and
Austin Shoemaker, who are transferring from Black Hawk Community College; and
Mason Wright, a freshman from St. Charles, Mo.
