JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Artese Stapleton, a transfer from NCAA Division I Radford, has will join the Lincoln men's basketball team starting in 2022-23.

Jimmy Drew, head coach of the LU men's basketball team. "He has the ability to be special on and off the court. His experience and production will be a welcome addition to the locker room. I am excited to see him continue to grow as a person and as a player."
Stapleton made 10 starts in 27 appearances last year at Radford, and scored 188 points while collecting 69 rebounds and dishing 59 assists. Stapleton finished third on the team, and first among the program's guards, with a .476 shooting percentage.
Before transferring to Radford, Stapleton played at the NCAA Division II level at Lewis, where he averaged 10.8 points as a sophomore and 10.1 as a freshman. Stapleton played his high school ball at Kenwood in Chicago, Ill., leading the team to a regional championship in 2017. As a senior, he was named the Hyde Park Herald Player of the Year.
