JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Emmette Page, the all-time leading scorer in the history of Northeast Community College in Nebraska, will join the Lincoln men's basketball team beginning in 2022-23, head coach
Jimmy Drew announced on Tuesday (July 12).
"I've enjoyed every bit of the recruiting process with Emmette," Drew said. "He is a great young man to get to know off the court and a dog on it. He wants to be at Lincoln and he is very much a program-first guy, he will be instrumental in building this program. He scores the ball at all three levels and can create for others as well. Blue Tiger fans will love watching him play. I couldn't be more excited to have Emmette on board."
Page, a 6-2, 180-pound guard, averaged a team-high 21.9 points per game during his sophomore season at NCC, shooting .450 from the field and .846 at the free throw line. In two seasons with the Hawks, Page scored 1,098 career points, the most of any player in program history. Page twice earned All-Region XI second team honors at Northeast Community College.
Last season, Page played at NCAA Division I Evansville, averaging 2.1 points in limited action. A Minnesota native, Page set the record for points in a single game at Osseo High with 43. Page led the team to back-to-back records of 21-8 and 25-7, and helped Osseo finish fifth in the state in 2018.
