JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Eleven Lincoln University basketball players have been named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. Six members of the women's team and five from men's team made the list, which is comprised of athletes who have completed at least two full semesters at a league institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
The two seniors from the Lincoln women's basketball team,
Haylie Holloway and
Deija Jackson, each made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. Both are wellness majors from Florida, with Holloway hailing from Lehigh Acres and Jackson coming from Tallahassee.
They were joined on the honor roll by four sophomores, including
Ashtin Ingram, an elementary education major from Wildwood, Fla. The other three players are wellness majors, including
Niyah Jackson (Williston, Fla.),
Aliyah Bello (Blue Springs, Mo.) and
AJ Bradley (Kansas City, Mo.).
The two seniors on the Lincoln men's basketball team, wellness major
Alafia Oluwasogo and business administration major
Ni'Sean Rigmaiden, additionally made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. Oluwaso is from Oakland, Calif. while Rigmaiden is from St. Louis, Mo.
Junior
Sai Witt (Kansas City, Mo.) and sophomore
Arash Yaqubi (Sacramento, Calif.), both of whom are wellness majors, also made the honor roll. Rounding out LU's honorees is junior
Mekhi Kimble, a marketing major from Los Angeles, Calif.
