First Round Results
NEWTON, Kan. - The Lincoln men's golf team is in 13th after the first day of the Newman Invitational, played on Monday (Oct. 17) at Sand Creek Station Golf Club. The Blue Tigers only finished the first round of the two-day tourney, hosted by Newman University, as second round play was suspended due to darkness.

Austin Shoemaker led LU with a 78 and is tied for 34th on the individual leaderboard. One stroke back of Shoemaker is Darshan Gunasegar, who fired a 79 to end the day in a tie for 45th. Remon Rabie, meanwhile, carded an 80 in the opening round and is tied for 51st.

Hunter Ramirez shot an 83 while Dedrick Harris II closed out Lincoln with an 86 on Monday.

Lincoln will conclude the second round and play the third round of the Newman Invitational on Tuesday (Oct. 18).
