KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2022 MIAA Basketball Media Day, presented by Seigfreid Bingham, will once again be held at the College Basketball Experience on Tuesday (Oct. 11).
Third-year head coach of the Lincoln women's basketball team, Drea Mize, and first-year head coach of the LU men's basketball team,
Jimmy Drew, will take the podium for their joint press interview at 9:45 a.m. CT. Also representing the LU women on Tuesday are
Mercy Gonzalez,
Niyah Jackson and
Kelsey Mitchell.
Jamar Madge, Jr. and
Emmette Page will be in Kansas City to represent the LU men's team.
The action begins at 9:15 a.m. with MIAA Commissioner Mike Racy announcing the results of the 2022-2023 Preseason Coaches and Media Polls. Following the Commissioner's remarks, media day host Brenda VanLengen will welcome the first men's and women's head coaches to the stage.
The event will be broadcast live, for free, on the MIAA Network. Fans who want to participate in media day can tweet a question for their favorite coach using the hashtag #AskMIAA.
For media in attendance, teams in Session I will be available for media interviews from 9 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. while teams in Session II will be available for media interviews from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. All men's and women's head coaches will be available from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
