JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln women's golf team makes the short trip to Fulton, Mo. next Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 11-12) to play in the William Woods Fall Invitational, hosted by William Woods University at Tanglewood Golf Course.
This will be the fourth tourney of the season for the Blue Tigers.
Saikati Gikonyo led Lincoln at each of its first two tournaments, including placing 58th in the Panthers Invitational after shooting a 173.
Nyah Singh also tied for 58th in that tournament, and
Elliott Hull used an 82 in the second round to tie for 75th with a 178.
Maria Villamil rounded out LU with a 181.
In the season-opening NSU Classic, held in Broken Arrow, Okla., Gikonyo led Lincoln with a 164 after shooting an 80 in the opening round and an 84 in the second. Singh followed with a 176 while Hull rounded out the Blue Tigers with a 195.
Lincoln most recently played in the Grace Shin Invitationa in Edmond, Okla., where Villamil and Gikonyo tied for the team-lead. Villamil shot an 80 in the second round while Gikonyo carded a 79.
Following the William Woods Fall Invitational, the Blue Tigers will play in the Midwest Classic, hosted in Warrensburg, Mo. by the University of Central Missouri on Oct. 18-19, to close the fall portion of their 2021-22 schedule.
