JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - After turning in another double-double in a road win over Emporia State on Thursday (Dec. 17), Lincoln's
Sai Witt was selected by the Black College Sports Network as its Small School Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Witt posted his NCAA Division II-leading fourth double-double in the victory over the previously unbeaten Hornets, scoring 19 points while pulling down a season-high 13 rebounds. Witt also had a pair of assists, two steals and a block in the win as Lincoln improved to 4-2 overall and 4-2 in MIAA play.
This is the second weekly award for Witt this season, as the junior also claimed the MIAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week honor after leading LU to a victory over No. 21 Missouri Southern on Nov. 28.
Lincoln will return to the court on Thursday, Jan. 7 to host Nebraska Kearney in Jefferson City at 7:30 p.m. CST.
