JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Eighty-four Lincoln student-athletes posted grade points averages of 3.0 or higher during the Spring 2019 semester. In addition, 14 Blue Tigers had a perfect 4.0 GPA.

The Lincoln softball team had 11 athletes with a 3.0 or higher GPA, including four with a 4.0, as the players combined for a 3.657 team grade point average. 18 members of the football team had a 3.0 or better for the semester, with one player posting a 4.0.

Sixteen members of the women's track & field and cross country programs earned grade point averages of 3.0 or higher this spring. The back-to-back NCAA Division II champions also had three athletes who posted perfect 4.0 averages.

The men's basketball team had 10 athletes with GPAs of 3.0 or higher this spring, while the men's track & field team had nine and the men's golf program had six. One athlete from each squad additionally posted an average of 4.0.

Lincoln's women's basketball team had seven players finish the semester with averages of 3.0 or higher, with two players earning a 4.0 GPA. The women's golf team, meanwhile, had three members post a 3.0 or higher while four members of the bowling team had at least a 3.0 GPA, with one bowler posting a 4.0 average.

Seven of Lincoln's 12 athletic programs posted team grade point averages of 3.0 or higher.
