JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln men's golf team is back on the links next week as the Blue Tigers travel to St. Charles, Mo. for the Lindenwood Invitational. Hosted by Lindenwood University, the two-day, three-round tournament will be held at Missouri Bluffs Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday (March 25-26).

Gabe Trowbridge was hot during the fall season, finishing one-over at the NSU Classic (Sept. 17-18) and two-over at the Battle for the Belt (Sept. 30-Oct. 2) to lead LU at both tournaments. Gabe Trowbridge finished 23rd at the UIS Island Getaway (Oct. 29-30), and has recorded a 71 in five of his 13 rounds with a season-low three-round tournament total of 214. At the Lincoln-hosted Blue Tiger Invitational (Oct. 15-16), Gabe Trowbridge tied for the team-low with a two-round sum of 147.

Jordan Barnett led the Blue Tigers at their first tournament, the Mule Invitational (Sept. 10-11), shooting a seven-over 217 with a round-low of 70, the best 18-hole score by a Lincoln player in 2018-19. Barnett followed that with an eight-over score at the NSU Classic and has posted a sub-80 score in all nine rounds this fall. Barnett also tied with Gabe Trowbridge at the Blue Tiger Invitational with a 147 after carding scores of 72 and 75, and shot a 154 at the UIS Island Getaway to lead LU.

Brayden Watts shot an eight-over 224 at the Battle for the Belt for his best performance of the season, and fired a 164 at the Blue Tiger Invitational, while Logan Taylor has twice shot a 230 with his season-low being a 226 at the NSU Classic. Cole Higgins carded scores of 85 and 77 for a two-round total of 162 at the Blue Tiger Invitational and tied with Taylor for 26th at the UIS Island Getaway.

Four other players have represented the Blue Tigers this fall, including Brett Trowbridge, who played in three of LU's first four tourneys of the season. Carson Doerhoff is coming off a 165 at the Blue Tiger Invitational, while Dalton Roark (171) and Jacob Krantz (179) also made their season debuts at Lincoln's home tournament.

This will be the second tournament of the spring for Lincoln, as the Blue Tigers opened 2019 at the Buccaneer Spring Classic on March 11-12. Barnett led LU with a two-round 150, shooting scores of 71 and 79, and Taylor and Gabe Trowbridge each carded a 152.

The Blue Tigers will close the regular season at the Bearcat Invitational (April 15-16) before competing in the MIAA Championships on April 23-24. LU will also play in the PGA Minority Collegiate Championship in Port St. Lucie, Fla. on May 10-12.
