JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Four road games await the Lincoln softball team this weekend, as the Blue Tigers will play Maryville on Friday (Feb. 22) and Drury on Sunday (Feb. 24).
The contests against Maryville, a new addition to the 2019 schedule, will be played in St. Louis, Mo. on Friday as the teams meet for an 11:00 a.m. CST double-header. The Blue Tigers will then travel to Springfield, Mo. on Sunday (Feb. 25) for a pair of games against Drury beginning at 1:00 p.m. CST.
Camryn Pryor is off to a hot start, batting .611 with 11 hits, including two doubles, and leads Lincoln with a .632 on-base percentage.
Jordan Lawson, who broke the program's single season doubles record a year ago, has a pair of twin base hits this season and is hitting .400 with eight total hits.
Rachael Balke, meanwhile, leads LU with four RBI and three doubles and has five hits on the season.
Casey Grover and
Mykenzie Livesay each have three hits apiece, with Livesay having driven in three runs.
Gabi McGinty also has three hits while
Tori Nienhueser and
Bekah Kirker are among the other projected offensive starters. In the circle,
Shannon Greene and
Hannah Hennessy have both notched 11 strikeouts.
Lincoln enters the weekend seeking its first victory of 2019, as LU, which last played in the Charger Chillout on Feb. 8-9 in Alabama, is 0-6 on the year. Three of those losses, however, have been by just one run.
