Kaloni Pryear led the Lincoln women's basketball team with 16 points, and
Vivian Chigbu pulled down 11 rebounds, but the Blue Tigers fell to Arkansas-Monticello, 68-37, on Saturday (Nov. 9).
Pryear also had four rebounds for the Blue Tigers, who shot .333 from the floor but committed 26 turnovers, leading to 28 points for UAM. The Cotton Blossoms shot .433 overall and .769 at the line, though LU held Arkansas-Monticello (2-0) to just .300 shooting from long distance.
Natasha Elliott was next on the scoring chart for Lincoln (0-2) with six points, two assists, a block and a steal.
Kiara Shoulders had eight boards to go with four points, an assist and a steal, and Chigbu contributed two points, an assist and a steal.
Anna Munoz Vidueira ended the day with five points, six rebounds and a block, and
Nia McCaskill came off the bench to provide two points, a rebound and a steal.
Virja Lewis had two points to close out the scoring as well as two rebounds, and
Natasha Dolinsky also had two boards in the contest.
Lincoln will open its home slate next Saturday (Nov. 16) as the Blue Tigers host the St. Louis College of Pharmacy at 4:00 p.m. CST.
