JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln men's basketball team shot .475 from the floor and finished with a 51-33 advantage on the glass as the Blue Tigers beat Livin' the Dream, 84-65, on Monday evening (Nov. 18).
Bansi King led the Blue Tigers with 16 points while
DaMani Jarrett had a team-high 10 rebounds to go with seven points and a block.
Cameron Potts rejected two shots, led LU with seven assists, grabbed five rebounds and had a steal to go with nine points.
Lincoln led 47-24 at halftime and was up by as many as 27 with 6:11 to play in the opening half. LU held Livin' the Dream to .355 shooting from the floor and forced nine turnovers.
L'Kielynn Taylor had 10 points and eight boards, and
Joe Davis finished with 10 points and four rebounds. Lamont Ballard and
DJ Ward each scored nine, and
Marcus Cohen provided seven points, four rebounds and four assists.
Jordan Notch had eight rebounds, four points and a steal, while Zack Field tallied three points, three boards and two assists.
Lincoln will resume its regular season on Friday (Nov. 22) with the Show-Me Classic, as the Blue Tigers play Harris-Stowe in St. Louis, Mo. at Chaifetz Arena at 6:00 p.m. CST.
