EDMOND, Okla. - Samantha Van Dort shot a two-round 174 to lead the Lincoln women's golf to a 17th-place finish at the UCO Classic on Tuesday (Oct. 1). The two-day, two-round tournament, hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma, was held on Monday (Sept. 30) and Tuesday at The Golf Club at Edmond.

Van Dort shot a 91 in the opening round and an 83 in the second to finish in a tie for 71st. Lexi Waters had LU's next-lowest score of 195, as she carded totals of 101 and 94.

Madison Oliver posted a 104 in the first round and a 92 in the second to finish third among the Blue Tigers with a sum of 196. Emalee Bennett, meanwhile, rounded out LU with a 240 after shooting a 119 on Monday and a 121 on Tuesday.

Lincoln will next play in the Midwest Classic, which will be hosted at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Mo. by the University of Central Missouri next Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 7-8).
