JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln women's basketball team forced overtime with a furious second half comeback, but Lindenwood did just enough defensively over the extra five minutes to beat the Blue Tigers, 81-75, on Tuesday evening (Feb. 13).
Lincoln trailed, 41-27, at halftime, and faced a 20-point deficit with 4:10 to play in the third quarter, but mounted a huge rally to get back in the ballgame. A free throw by

Lajanea Kimbrough hit a layup, Coleman converted an old-fashioned three-point play and later made another bucket to pull Lincoln to within one. Brown-Henderson then hit her only three-point attempt of the evening to complete the rally and give the Blue Tigers a 67-65 advantage.
A pair of
Citlali Lopez free throws extended the lead to four, but the Lady Lions hit a quick three to end the Blue Tigers' 12-0 run.
Faith Brintle made a pair of shots at the line on Lincoln's next possession to get the lead back up to three, but with 11.1 seconds remaining, the Blue Tigers were called for a foul on a three-point attempt by Lindenwood, putting the Lady Lions at the line. Three free throws later, the game was tied at 71 and headed into overtime.
