RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Citlali Lopez scored a game-high 26 points and Bre Coleman added 14, but the Lincoln women's basketball team fell to Arkansas Tech, 93-55, on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 30).
Coleman came close to a double-double, finishing with nine rebounds, three blocks and a pair of steals. Lopez, meanwhile, tallied three rebounds, two assists and two steals while Tyler Brown-Henderson provided six points and six boards.
Lincoln (3-9) scored 34 of its points in the second half, including 19 in the final quarter. After being limited to just 28-percent from the floor in the opening half, the Blue Tigers shot .410 over the game's final 20 minutes and finished .351 for the contest. Arkansas Tech (7-1) racked up 21 steals and scored 55 first half points en route to the win.
Faith Brintle led LU with three steals and three assists and had a point to go with two rebounds. Kailey Foster pulled down four boards and Robin Butler had one while
Tempary Gunter added two points, three rebounds, three steals and a pair of assist.
Naomi Bryant, Karissa Black and Davenport Brantley closed out the scoring with two points apiece. Bryant also had three rebounds and a pair of assists. Black grabbed a board and blocked a shot, and Brantley dished an assist.
Lincoln will open 2018 on the road on Thursday (Jan. 4) with a trip to Edmond, Okla. to play Central Oklahoma. Tip-off for that contest is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CST.
