SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Terrance Smith led all scorers with 28 points and Amariontez added 25, but the Lincoln men's basketball team fell to Drury, 100-90, on Saturday (Nov. 25).
Smith additionally grabbed seven rebounds while Ivory pulled down six and dished a pair of assists. Marquise Williams led the Blue Tigers with eight rebounds and dropped two dimes to go with 12 points. John Burton, meanwhile, contributed 17 points to the Blue Tiger cause.
Drury (4-1) led from start to finish, forcing Lincoln (3-3) into 22 turnovers while shooting .481 from the floor. LU had the better shooting percentage overall, as the Blue Tigers put up their highest field goal percentage (.577) to go with their highest point total of the young season. Lincoln also shot .538 from beyond the arc and finished with a 35-30 advantage in rebounding.
Zack Fields and Grant Olsson each scored three points apiece, with Fields additionally providing four boards and four assists. Olsson had two boards, an assist and a steal while Calvin Chambers rounded out the scoring with two points, three assists, a pair of rebounds and a team-high three steals.
Lincoln remains on the road on Tuesday (Nov. 28), as the Blue Tigers head to Kirksville, Mo. to take on Truman State. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CST.
