The Lincoln University track teams ran away with first-place finishes Saturday at the Findlay Open.
On the women’s side, Lincoln blew away the field of 19 teams, tallying 167 points, while Grand Valley State finished a distant second with 102.5 points.
Sophomore Semoy Hackett remains uncatchable in both the 60-and 200-meter dashes, as Hackett raced across first with a time of 7.39 seconds in the 60-meter, for yet another NCAA automatic qualifying time, while she again cruised to first in the 200-meter with a time of 24.90 seconds. Several of her teammates were right behind her in both events, as senior Janika Martell, senior Jhanell Brown, sophomore Tia Rolle, senior Marcia Woolery and sophomore Kirlene Roberts all finished second through sixth in order behind Hackett in the 60-meter, while Woolery, Rolle, and junior Sudian Davis finished in second through fourth behind Hackett in the 200-meter.
Junior Nyoka Cole just edged out teammate freshman Yanique Haye to take first in the 400-meter dash, with Cole coming across with a time of 57.1205, while Haye came across with a time of 57.1291. Sophomore Michelle Cumberbatch and junior Keniesha Jones placed in third and fourth respectively, as all four had solid enough times for NCAA provisional marks.
Haye placed third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.88, yet another NCAA provisional mark. The Blue Tiger relay team again placed first in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:48.13, which set a meet time mark and was a second out from an NCAA provisional mark.
Senior Racquel Anderson jumped far in the long jump, finishing with the highest jump of 5.91 meters, good for an NCAA automatic mark.
A host of Blue Tigers finished in the top-three in the triple jump, with senior Okine Codlyn leading the way with a jump of 11.28 meters, while teammates Anderson and junior Kimberly Hodges finished in second and third, respectively.
Codlyn kept the momentum to come across first in the indoor pentathlon 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.12 seconds. Codlyn also snagged a third-place finish in the indoor pentathlon long jump with a jump of 5.15 meters. Freshman Sheri Kaye Campbell placed second in the indoor pentathlon high jump with a jump of 1.67 meters. With the entire pentathlon points combined, Codlyn finished second overall with 3,288 points, while Campbell finished fourth with 3,137 points.
On the men’s side, the Blue Tigers also claimed first with 94 points, besting Grand Valley State’s second-place effort of 85.5 points.
Junior Kimour Bruce got Lincoln started with a first-place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.80 seconds, which was right at the meet mark, while teammate junior Gavin Terrelonge placed third, to give both Bruce and Terrelonge NCAA provisional marks. Junior Dwain Bryden and sophomore Mandela Clifford finished in fourth and fifth behind Terrelonge.
 Terrelonge and Bruce finished in third and fourth respectively in the 200-meter dash.
Freshman Steve Banton’s time of 49.03 in the 400-meter dash was good for second and also an NCAA provisional mark.
Junior Rupert Smith was just edged out of a top-three finish in the 800-meter run, coming across fourth with a time of 1:57.08, while Slippery Rock’s Kevin Jewel snagged third with a time of 1:57.04
Freshman Sabiel Anderson placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.28 seconds, seven-hundredths off the top spot.
Lincoln’s 4x400-meter relay team finished behind the host Findlay Oilers, coming across second with a time of 3:21.63, while Findlay took the relay with a time of 3:19.31.
Senior Gerald Bascoe had a solid jump in the long jump scaling 7.17 meters for first place, which was also good for an NCAA provisional mark. Bascoe then came across second in the triple jump with a jump of 14.22 meters.
