Gaters nearly averaged a double-double in Lincoln’s three games this past week, posting over 10 points (10.3) and nearly 10 rebounds (9.7) per game against Evangel (61-63), Elizabeth City State (58-60) and Claflin (68-67). In the game against Claflin, Gaters came through with a big offensive rebound, was fouled and delivered two big free throws to give the Blue Tigers the win with .2 seconds left in the game. For the week, Gaters shot over 78 percent from the foul line, going 11-for-14 (78.6). The junior forward was also second on the team in assists with seven, while adding two steals and two blocks.
