Vivian Chigbu


Vivian Chigbu begins her fourth season as a coach with the Lincoln women's basketball team and second as the Director of Basketball Operations in 2024-25 after spending two years playing for the Blue Tigers.

Chigbu averaged 9.0 points and 7.5 rebounds during her LU career. Chigbu started 38 games in that span and posted nine double-doubles, including seven in a 2019-20 campaign that ended with her ranked fifth in the MIAA in rebounding. Chigbu started her collegiate career at Baltimore City Community College, averaging 10.8 points and 9.1 boards during her sophomore season.

Prior to Lincoln, Chigbu began her collegiate career at Baltimore City Community College, averaging 10.8 points and 9.1 rebounds during her sophomore season. In a contest against Anne-Arundel Community College Chigbu grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds. Chigbu earned NJCAA Region 20 Honorable Mention honors and was selected by the team as the Most Valuable Player during the 2018-19 season. While at Baltimore City CC she also participated in cross country and won the Unsung Hero and Most Improved Athlete award.


Chigbu is a native of Nigeria. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 2021 and later earned a Master of Science in Education Counseling in 2023.
