Steven Mallow, an All-MIAA performer as a Blue Tiger from 2010-14, returned to his alma mater as Lincoln's head men's golf coach in June of 2017. He is in his fifth season as the head coach of the LU men's golf team.
During a shortened 2019-20 season, Mallow led LU to a fourth-place showing at the Blue Tiger Invitational, with four golfers finishing among the top-25 on the individual leaderboard. One of those golfers was Gabe Trowbridge, who won the Blue Tiger Invitational with a 221 to become Lincoln's first individual champion since 2016.
In 2018-19, Mallow led the Blue Tigers to three top-10 finishes, including a second-place result at the PGA WORKS Championship. Under Mallow's tutelage, several LU players turned in their best-ever collegiate performances, including Gabe Trowbridge, who had a stretch of three-straight tournaments where he shot three-over or better.
In his first season with the program in 2017-18, Mallow developed a roster comprising mainly of freshmen and sophomores into a squad that finished as the runner-up at the PGA Minority Collegiate Championship.
A stellar golfer during his four-year career with the Blue Tigers, Mallow was named to the All-MIAA team in 2012. Mallow helped Lincoln win back-to-back PGA Minority Collegiate Championships in 2012 and 2013, and finished as the runner-up at the 2011 SBU Invitational.
Mallow was selected to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District first team following a senior season in which he led LU to its sixth-ever PGA Minority Collegiate Championship title and a third-place showing at the MIAA Championship. Mallow finished in second place at the 2014 PGA Minority Collegiate Championship, tying for the lowest score through three rounds before being edged in a playoff. During that 2013-14 season, Mallow helped the Blue Tigers finish in the top-eight in all but two of their tournaments.
