Welch competed at Evergreen Park Community High School, where he posted a 37-20 record while on varsity...Named to the All-Conference team both junior and senior year, All-Tournament Team for tournaments during Thanksgiving and Christmas...Named to the Daily Southtown and The Reporter Newspaper All-Area Team, second-team as a junior and first-team as a senior...MVP of team both junior and senior seasons and was also recognized by the IBCA as a Special Mention All-State player senior season. Majoring in communications/sport management. Son of Anthony Welch, Sr. and Renee Jones-Welch.
