Sheldon Tucker joined the Lincoln football team as the special teams coordinator, wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator in 2024. He is in his first season with the Blue Tigers.
Tucker previously held the titles of pass game coordinator, wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at William Jewell in 2023. Tucker called passing plays for the Cardinals, coached and developed the receivers and assisted in both game planning and recruiting. Under Tucker's direction, William Jewell finished the season fourth in the GLVC in passing yards and second in the conference in red zone passing touchdowns. Three WJC receivers ended the year among the top-15 in the league in receiving yards and two tied for third in the GLVC in touchdown receptions.
Before coming to William Jewell, Tucker worked as the running backs coach and co-special teams coordinator at Bemidji State in 2022. Tucker helped the program win the Northern Sun conference and advance to the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs. Tucker also previously worked at Northern Iowa, an NCAA Division I program, as quarterbacks coach.
Tucker holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Bemidji State and a master's degree in sports psychology from California University Pennsylvania.
