A coaching veteran with experience at the professional, collegiate and high school levels, Chris Ebright joined the Lincoln baseball team as an assistant coach in 2024. He is in his first season with the program and will help lead the Blue Tigers during their inaugural year as members of the GLVC.

In a coaching career that spans more than 15 years, Ebright has coached 20 players that advanced to a professional league, including 13 Major League Baseball draft picks. Ebright most recently spent four years as the assistant coach of Helias High School in Jefferson City and also was the head coach of his alma mater, Saginaw Valley State University, for four seasons. Ebright has also coached at Kentucky Wesleyan College, Central Methodist University and Erie Community College.

Ebright was a four-year starter at catcher for Saginaw Valley State, serving as the team captain his senior season. Ebright set several program records at SVSU and was the team's Rookie of the Year in 1999 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2001 and 2002. After graduating, Ebright played for both the Vic Park Reds and the Wembley Magpies in the Western Australia Professional Baseball League.

In 2009-10, Ebright coached the Hornell Dodgers in the New York Collegiate Baseball League, compiling an overall record of 53-37 that included a division championship. Ebright was selected as an all-star game coach for the league during both seasons and was the runner-up for NYCBL Coach of the Year in 2009. Afterwards, Ebright managed the Newark Pilots in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, leading the program to the PGCBL Championship in 2011.

In 2013, Ebright broke into the professional ranks by becoming the manager of the Roswell Invaders, a member of the independent PECOS League. Ebright led the Invaders to a league-record 55 victories as well as a PECOS League championship, earning him PECOS League Manager of the Year honors. Ebright has also served as the head coach of the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters in the Northwoods League.

Ebright graduated from Saginaw Valley State in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in accounting and earned a master's of education degree from Central Methodist in 2011. Ebright and his wife Christy have two children: RJ and Emmersen.
