Tailgating Policy

Fans are welcome to tailgate at Lincoln football games provided they follow the below guidelines:

Parking Lot Protocol
The main parking lot for fan use is at The LINC, the campus wellness and recreation center. A small section of parking spaces for visiting fans will be cordoned off at the parking lot overlooking the softball field, located next to Dwight T. Reed Stadium. Parking at each lot costs $5 per car. Tailgating is permissible, but if the set-up requires taking up an additional parking space, an extra $5 charge will be incurred. All tailgating equipment must stay out of the traffic lane, and confined to either a small section in front of/behind of one's vehicle, or within the entirety of a purchased second parking space.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at http://lubluetigers.com/tickets, but parking fees must be paid at the lot.

Fans who park at The LINC, and visitors parking at the softball lot, will need to show their tickets via a mobile device or a printout, or will be charged admission when they arrive at the parking lot. For example, a family of four consisting of two adults and two children over the age of five, who wish to take up a second parking space for a tailgate, will be charged $40 before parking on a regular game day, unless they have already purchased tickets online. That cost includes the $5 for parking, $5 for an additional spot for tailgating, two adult tickets ($10 each) and two student tickets ($5 apiece).

Parking lots open three hours prior to kickoff.

Alcohol and Tobacco Policy
Lincoln University is a smoke-free and alcohol-free campus. The use of any form of tobacco product, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco, is strictly prohibited. Vaping is also not permitted on campus property. Outside of specifically-designated areas pre-approved by the university, the consumption of alcohol is also prohibited. Fans caught violating these rules will be asked to leave the campus.

Additional Tailgating Rules
- All grills must be self-contained and removed from the site following use.

- Tailgating equipment refers to any outside object brought onto campus to be used on campus-owned land. This includes, but is not limited to: tents, grills, games (such as cornhole or ladder golf), chairs, tables and coolers. Any tailgating equipment that cannot be confined to a small area near one's car must be placed in a second, nearby parking space for an additional $5 charge.

- All trash must be collected and removed from the premises at the end of the tailgate. Garbage must either be properly disposed of in an on-site trash receptacle, or placed in one's vehicle to properly dispose of off-campus. This includes any grilling waste, leftover food, plastic/paper utensils and serving ware, and any other trash generated through tailgating.

- Glass containers are prohibited.

- No pets allowed, unless they are a guide or service animal.

- Any music played must contain appropriate lyrics and be played at volume levels that are not offensive to other nearby fans.

- Tailgaters must be respectful of those around them and refrain from profanity, racial or ethnic slurs or any other derogatory language.

Blue Tiger Athletics Club Parking and Tailgating
Members of the Blue Tiger Athletics Club will be asked to park in a special section of the lot at The LINC, located by the round-about connecting Stadium and Lafayette. Members who do not have reserved parking permits or season tickets will be charged the normal prices as listed above. Upon parking and paying for tickets (if necessary), fans will receive wristbands which must be put on immediately. The wristbands will allow both entry and re-entry to Dwight T.
