Mitchell also joins the Blue Tigers this season from Memphis, Tenn., but played at a different high school than Dillard in Overton High… While at Overton, she participated in both volleyball and basketball… During her senior season on the court, she averaged nine points, seven steals and four rebounds… Was named to the National Honor Society... Daughter of Byron and Jacquelyn Abbey and has two siblings, Myron (12) and Ryan (20)… Has yet to declare a major.
