THE KICKOFF:  The Lincoln women's soccer team plays its first two home GLVC matches of 2026 this week as the Blue Tigers play a pair of matches at this season's home field, Capital City High School. Lincoln first home league match is on Wednesday evening (Sept. 9), as McKendree, ranked No. 22 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches Division II women's soccer rankings, comes to Jefferson City to play the Blue Tigers at 5:00 p.m. CDT. On Sunday (Sept. 13), Lincoln hosts Southwest Baptist at 12:00 p.m. CDT. Lincoln dropped its GLVC opener on Saturday night (Sept. 5) to Illinois-Springfield, 5-1. McKendree is 4-1 on the season while Southwest Baptist enters with a 2-1-1 overall mark. Both opponents are 0-1 in GLVC play.

WARM UPS
- McKendree is 2-0 all-time against Lincoln.

- Lincoln has never lost to Southwest Baptist in its brief three-year tenure sponsoring women's soccer. LU won in 2024, 1-0, and tied the Bearcats last season, 2-2.

- The Blue Tigers are seeking their first GLVC win since beating Upper Iowa, 2-0, on the road on Oct. 19, 2025.

PREVIEWING THE BLUE TIGERS:  Lincoln has used two goalkeepers, with Kristin Oliver earning the win over Harris Stowe while Kanon Dehama made six saves against Missouri Southern. Five different Blue Tigers have scored goals: Natalie Bevan, Leah Serritos, Mia Greathouse, TeTee Jallah and Sofia Valdivia. Vanessa Dagher, Madison Wimberly, Greathouse and Rachel Noel each have recorded assists.

HEAD COACH LEAH STRINGER:  With a pair of wins in LU's first-ever matches, Leah Stringer is off to a strong start as the coach of the Blue Tigers. No stranger to NCAA Division II or the great state of Missouri, Stringer is in her third year coaching LU after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant at Missouri Western. She helped lead the Griffons to the No. 13 national ranking in 2021 and helped the team post a .708 win percentage that season.

LAST TIME OUT:  The Blue Tigers cut into the Prairie Stars' 2-0 lead on a goal by TeTee Jallah early in the second half, but Illinois-Springfield held on to beat Lincoln, 5-1, on Saturday (Sept. 5). Mia Greathouse recorded an assist while Leah Serritos notched a shot on goal.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS:  Maddie Mauch already has five goals on the season and has tried a team-high 26 shots. Addie Gagen has two assists while Macie Begley, Allison Wickenhauser, Lea Gruber and Maggie Glecker have each scored a goal. Wickenhauser and Alana Donnelly have both tallied assists. Peyton Baker has played 426:23 in goal and has made 16 saves.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS:  Southwest Baptist has outscored its opponents 10-5 in 2026. Juana Fernandez Calvo has two goals and two assists on the year while Lydia Fickle and Elli Steel each have two goals on the season. Jade Johnson is tied for the team-lead with two assists. Alyssa Broeckling, Caroline Kieffner, Emma Meier and Addi Shuler also have scored goals for the Bearcats.

STRAIGHT SHOOTERS:  When the Blue Tigers try a shot, it tends to go towards the net. On 23 total attempts in 2026, Lincoln has 16 shots on goal, an accuracy rating of .696. That mark is leading the GLVC and ranks as the third-best in Division II. Individually, Natalie Bevan leads LU with an accuracy rate of .750, the third-best in the GLVC.

NOTEWORTHY GLVC STATS:  As a team, LU is third in the GLVC in assists per game (1.33) and has the third-fewest yellow cards of any league team (five). The Blue Tigers rank 17th nationally in the latter statistic. Lincoln is sixth in the GLVC in total assists (four) and seventh in both scoring offense (1.67) and saves per game (5.0). Lincoln leads the league in shot accuracy (.696), is sixth in points per game (4.67) and eighth in both total points (14) and total goals (five).

WITH THE SAVE:  Kristin Oliver has made eight saves and ranks seventh in the GLVC in saves per match (4.0). Kanon Dehama, LU's other keeper, made six saves against Missouri Southern while allowing just two goals. As a team, Lincoln owns a save percentage of .625 and is eighth in the GLVC in saves per game at 5.0. Oliver has started each of the past two matches.

ON THE OFFENSIVE:  Natalie Bevan has tried four shots this fall, and three of those were on the goal. Mia Greathouse has attempted three shots, all of which have been on goal. Both players have scored a goal this season. TeTee Jallah, who also has a goal, has additionally attempted three shots on the net.

HOME ADVANTAGE:  Lincoln's scheduled to play more home matches than away games in 2026, with each of the Blue Tigers' first two games being played in Jefferson City. After that, Lincoln will play four road matches compared to three home contests in September, but in October is home four times while on the road for three games.

NO PENALTY FOR HER:  Leah Serritos made Lincoln's only penalty shot attempt of 2026 vs. Missouri Southern. She is one of just three players in the GLVC with a penalty goal and one of only 52 in NCAA Division II.

JOIN THE CLUB:  The Blue Tiger Athletics Club is a great way to engage with other LU fans while supporting all Lincoln student-athletes. Every dollar raised by the club goes towards scholarships, improving the facilities and purchasing equipment. To join the BTAC, or to learn more, please visit www.LUBlueTigers.com/BTAC.

WATCH LIVE:  Fans who are unable to attend a game in person will still be able to cheer on their Blue Tigers to victory via the GLVC Sports Network. All nine Lincoln home games will be broadcast live and can be watched at https://www.glvcsn.com/lincolnbluetigers/.

GEAR UP FOR THE GAME:  Lincoln fans can get everything they need for the game at www.BlueTigersStore.com, the official online store for LU athletics. Everything from jerseys to office supplies can be found on the site, with a portion of all online sales going to benefit Lincoln athletics.

NEXT UP:  The Blue Tigers return to the road for their next GLVC contest, as Lincoln travels to Fayette, Iowa to play Upper Iowa on Wednesday (Sept. 16) at 5:00 p.m. CT.
