THE KICKOFF:  The Lincoln women's soccer team kicks off a three-match homestand this week with a pair of games against GLVC opponents. On Wednesday (Sept. 30), Lincoln hosts William Jewell at 5:00 p.m. CDT. Then, on Saturday (Oct. 3), the Blue Tigers host Lewis at 12:00 p.m. CDT. Both matches will be played at Capital City High School. The Blue Tigers dropped a 2-1 decision on the road to Rockhurst at their last match, played on Sept. 23, but had won two of their previous three games prior to that loss. William Jewell is still playing for its first win of the season, owning an overall record of 0-8-1 and a league record of 0-5-1. Lewis, meanwhile, is 4-5-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the GLVC.

WARM UPS
- Lincoln is 2-1 all-time against William Jewell. WJC won the first meeting in 2024, 5-2, in Jefferson City, and edged the Blue Tigers, 2-1, in Liberty, Mo. in 2025.

- The Flyers are 2-0 all-time against the Blue Tigers.

- Each of Lincoln's first two matches against Lewis ended with the Flyers winning, 2-1.

PREVIEWING THE BLUE TIGERS:  Halfway through the season, Mia Greathouse has emerged as Lincoln's top scorer, as she has three goals and an assist on nine shots on goal. TeTee Jallah has two goals while Madison Wimberly and Sofia Valdivia have each recorded a goal and an assist. Natalie Bevan and Leah Serritos have also scored goals while Gabriella Bortolussi, Vanessa Dagher and Rachael Noel also have assists. Goalkeeper Kanon Dehama has made 30 saves.

HEAD COACH LEAH STRINGER:  With a pair of wins in LU's first-ever matches, Leah Stringer is off to a strong start as the coach of the Blue Tigers. No stranger to NCAA Division II or the great state of Missouri, Stringer is in her third year coaching LU after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant at Missouri Western. She helped lead the Griffons to the No. 13 national ranking in 2021 and post a .708 win percentage that season.

LAST TIME OUT:  Mia Greathouse scored in the 52nd minute to open the scoring, but Rockhurst scored the next two goals, including one in the 75th minute to seal a 2-1 victory in Kansas City, Mo. on Sept. 23. Kanon Dehama faced 31 shots and made nine saves.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS:  William Jewell has scored three goals, one apiece by Jessica Baker, Kennedy Holloway and Sophia Giuliano. Briana Maytas, Brylee Rivera and Maddy Follmer each have assists. The Cardinals have allowed 19 goals, but Jenna Skeeters, who has spent 720 minutes in the net, has made 64 saves. Kya Beltran also has started in goal and has made two saves.

SCOUTING THE FLYERS:  Lewis boasts a trio of prolific scorers in Breanna Culver (five goals, one assist), Jada Harvey (three goals, two assists) and Morgan Krupp (four goals) while Timea Rojnik has a team-high four assists. The Flyers have 25 goals this season, including two apiece by Anna Dazey, Caroline Hadler and Anna Larson. Josie Graziosi leads Lewis with 23 saves.

STRAIGHT SHOOTERS:  When the Blue Tigers try a shot, it tends to go towards the net. On 64 total attempts in 2026, Lincoln has 36 shots on goal, an accuracy rating of .563. That mark is fourth in the GLVC and ranks as the 23rd-best in Division II. The Blue Tigers average 8.0 overall shots per game, with 4.5 of those attempts being on goal.

WITH THE SAVE:  After allowing only two goals in each of the past two weeks, Kanon Dehama now has the GLVC's eighth-best save percentage of .789. Dehama, who had five saves in the win over Southwest Baptist, is fourth in the league in saves per game (5.0). Dehama now has made 30 total saves on the year as well as two shutouts while Kristin Oliver has made eight saves in a pair of appearances.

DEFENSIVE MEASURES:  The Blue Tigers have been tough to score on this season, with only one team (Illinois-Springfield) scoring more than two goals in a match against LU. Lincoln has a pair of shutouts and is sixth in the GLVC in percentage of shutouts (.250). The Blue Tigers are also fifth in the league in saves per game (5.1) and eight in save percentage (.732).

GREAT SHOTS:  Mia Greathouse has seven points on nine shots on goal, both of which are team-highs. TeTee Jallah, who has eight points, leads LU with 14 shot attempts, eight of which have been on the goal. Madison Wimberly is next with seven shots on goal and 13 total attempts. Leah Serritos, who has one goal, has tried six shots, including three on the goal.

HOME ADVANTAGE:  Lincoln's scheduled to play more home matches than away games in 2026, with each of the Blue Tigers' first two games being played in Jefferson City. After that, Lincoln played four road matches compared to three home contests in September, but in October is home four times while on the road for three games.

CHANCE FOR HISTORY:  Lincoln won its last home match, 1-0, over Southwest Baptist. If the Blue Tigers win both matches this week, it will mark the first time Lincoln has ever won three-straight home games.

JOIN THE CLUB:  The Blue Tiger Athletics Club is a great way to engage with other LU fans while supporting all Lincoln student-athletes. Every dollar raised by the club goes towards scholarships, improving the facilities and purchasing equipment. To join the BTAC, or to learn more, please visit www.LUBlueTigers.com/BTAC.

WATCH LIVE:  Fans who are unable to attend a game in person will still be able to cheer on their Blue Tigers to victory via the GLVC Sports Network. All nine Lincoln home games will be broadcast live and can be watched at https://www.glvcsn.com/lincolnbluetigers/.

GEAR UP FOR THE GAME:  Lincoln fans can get everything they need for the game at www.BlueTigersStore.com, the official online store for LU athletics. Everything from jerseys to office supplies can be found on the site, with a portion of all online sales going to benefit Lincoln athletics.

NEXT UP:  Lincoln closes this homestand on Wednesday, Oct. 7 by hosting Missouri-St. Louis at Capital City High School at 5:00 p.m. CDT.
