INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Members of the Lincoln men's soccer team swept the GLVC Player of the Week awards, the league office announced on Monday (Sept. 28). Jonathan Nemorden was named the GLVC Offensive Player of the Week while Felipe Mattos was selected as the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week.

Nemorden scored a pair of unassisted goals in Lincoln's 3-0 win over Rockhurst in Kansas City, Mo. last Wednesday (Sept. 23). Nemorden attempted five shots total, four of which were on goal. His first goal gave the Blue Tigers a 1-0 lead at halftime while his second came in the final two minutes of the contest to seal the victory.

Mattos had a clean sheet, making five saves while playing all 90 minutes in LU's 3-0 victory. Mattos faced 15 total shots and picked up his third shutout win of the season.

This is the first GLVC Player of the Week award for both Nemorden and Mattos.

Lincoln begins a three-match homestand this upcoming Wednesday (Sept. 30) when the Blue Tigers host William Jewell at Capital City High School at 7:30 p.m. CDT.
