INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the second time in the past three weeks, Lincoln senior Kaathi Gunasegar has been selected as the GLVC Women's Golfer of the Week. The league office announced the award on Wednesday afternoon (April 8).

Gunasegar won the National Women's Collegiate Championship in Katy, Texas with a three-round total of 220. Gunasegar opened the tournament, held at The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch from March 29-April 1, with a 71. That was the lowest 18-hole total by any player in the tournament during any of the three rounds. She followed that with scores of 75 and 74 to win the individual title by three strokes, leading Lincoln to a second place overall team finish.

This was the second time that Gunasegar won the National Women's Collegiate Championship, as she also was the victor in 2024. With the win, Gunasegar also earns the right to play in the Chevron LPGA Pro-Am later this month. It was also the third-consecutive year that a Blue Tiger won the National Women's Collegiate Championship, as Gunasegar's sister, Divya, was the individual medalist in 2025.

Gunasegar picks up her third career athlete of the week award, as she also was named the GLVC Women's Golfer of the Week on March 26. Gunasegar previously was selected as the MIAA Women's Golfer of the Week on April 10, 2024.

Lincoln will travel to Alton, Ill. next week to play in the MBU Spring Invitational, hosted by Missouri Baptist University at Spencer T. Olin Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday (April 13-14).
