INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the fourth-straight week, a member of the Lincoln men's soccer team has been selected as the GLVC Offensive Player of the Week. The league office announced that LU's
Jonathan Nemorden claimed the honor on Monday afternoon (Oct. 19).
Nemorden scored all three of Lincoln's goals this week to lead the Blue Tigers to wins over Maryville and Quincy. In Lincoln's road match at Maryville, Nemorden scored in the 68th minute to lead the Blue Tigers to a 1-0 victory. In LU's 2-0 home win over Quincy, Nemorden scored what proved to be the game-winner 4:04 into the match, and later added an insurance goal in the 75th minute. Nemorden has six game-winning goals in 2026, the most of any NCAA Division II player.
This is the second time that Nemorden has been named GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, as he also claimed the award on Sept. 28.
Makwe Nkoana was selected as the GLVC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 5, and
Jerome Lawel won the award on Oct. 12.Â
Lincoln, currently ranked No. 15 in the United Soccer Coaches Division II poll, will host Missouri S&T on Wednesday night (Oct. 21). Kickoff from Capital City High School is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CDT.
